The Scriptures
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and is the absolute authority in determining the faith and practice of God's elect. We affirm that the sixty-six books of the Bible are inerrant, divinely and uniquely inspired, and are given to mankind written as they were inspired by the Spirit of God. These Scriptures are divinely intended for personal study and interpretation, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We believe that every Christian is obligated to present the gospel to all mankind, that each may have the opportunity to eternal life.
The Trinity
We believe in a one sovereign true and living God, the Creator and Sustainer of all things, who is infinite, eternal, unchanging, and is revealed to us as the Father, the Head of the Trinity. We believe in God, the Son, the promised Messiah of the Old Testament, born of a virgin, conceived by the Holy Spirit, given to reveal God the Father, died to redeem man, rose from the dead, now seated at the right hand of the God interceding for all believers, to return one day in visible, personal and bodily form, receiving His church unto Himself, at a time the Father has reserved to Himself alone, as the glorified Lord of Lord's and Judge of all mankind. We believe in God, the Holy Spirit, a person, sent from God the Father to convict the world of sin, to regenerate and cleanse from sin, to teach, guide, strengthen and perfect every believer. We believe in God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, three in one.
The Sinful Nature of Man
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but being tempted by Satan, he sinned, and since that time all men have been born in sin. The original tempter was Satan, the personal devil, who with his angels has been working iniquity among the nations of the world. Sin is disobedience to the word and the will of God, which leads to death and eternal separation from God.
The Atonement of Christ
We believe that God provided a way for our reconciliation to Himself by redeeming us from our sin and that Way is Jesus Christ. Jesus is the atonement for our sins through His death on the cross and through His blood atoning we become joint heirs with Christ, thereby escaping condemnation and the wrath of God. Redemption of the believer is by grace through faith in the person of Jesus Christ.
The Christ as Savior
We believe that every individual is condemned through their sins and without Jesus Christ, salvation is impossible. We believe for anyone to be delivered from condemnation, they must yield to the Lordship of Jesus Christ as Savior.
The Conversion through Repentance
We believe conversion from sin comes through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ and involves a willful turning from sin to a sovereign God. Man must surrender himself to God's will. We believe in regeneration by the work of the Holy Spirit by which the believer is made a new creation and freed from the curse and bondage of sin. We affirm that righteousness is imputed to every saved believer by grace through faith and eternal life cannot be lost, being kept by the power of God.
The Resurrection and Judgment
We believe all mankind will be resurrected one day to receive an ultimate judgment. Those saved through faith under the atonement of Jesus as Savior will stand before Him, judged according to their works for reward. Those whose names are not found in the Book of Life, will be judged accordingly, and cast into the Lake of Fire along with Satan and his angels.
The Church
We believe the Church is the elect made up of the baptized body of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. The church is in covenant with God to obey the new Testament teachings of the Bible, in doctrine, worship and practice, observing the only two ordinances of the Church--baptism and the Lord's Supper. We believe baptism to be the symbolic act of a saved believer being immersed in water; which is a picture of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. The Lord's Supper is in remembrance of his broken body and shed blood, as a memorial of the Lord's death until His return.
